Access Control

DECIDE WHO GOES WHERE AND WHEN – IN A SINGLE PROPERTY, OR ACROSS AN ENTIRE ORGANISATION

An access control system is a PC-controlled network of electronically-locked doors, which can be accessed using a card or fob.

An access control installation allows you to control, manage and monitor access to – and egress from - your premises and different areas within them, thus protecting people, physical property and intellectual property. Systems can range from a stand-alone swipe card system fitted to a front door, to multi-site, multi-door systems covering a number of buildings and key access points within them.

Systems are designed on a ‘building block’ approach, where a number of 2-door and 4-door controllers are linked together to control the desired number of doors. Each door is fitted with:

Reader - The access fob is read by the reader.

Electric Lock - Normally low voltage operated and can be fail secure or unsecure depending of fire assessment requirements.

Exit Switch - A large button on the inside of the door which needs to be pressed to release the lock.

Emergency Breakglass - Directly interrupts the power to the lock thereby guaranteeing escape in the event of an emergency.
