EXIT SWITCHES
These need to be fitted on the ‘safe’ side of every lock. When the button is pressed, it sends a signal to the door controller to release the locking mechanism, so the action can be logged into the diary. There are four types available. EMERGENCY BREAK-GLASSThese also need to be fitted on the ‘safe’ side of every lock. Breaking the glass interrupts the flow of current to the lock and allows the door to open. SOFTWARE PCbased systems Running on a Windows platform, these software packages store and process the access control operating programme. They can also provide management with diary reports showing exactly what is going on in their building. CARD PRINTERSThese allow you to produce access cards with photographs, company logos and return addresses.
