Motion detectors

CCTV systems can be linked to motion detectors which can start them recording or direct them to where the incident is occurring. These generally can serve a dual role. In daylight hours, they can be linked to cameras to monitor the comings and goings on your premises. After hours, they can be further linked to an alarm system.

Remote Monitoring

If an alarm goes off, we’ll look into it.

Our Remote Video Response Service (RVR) will keep a watchful eye on your premises for every moment they are unoccupied. It can reduce the instance of false alarms – and also reduce the costs of an actual break-in.

If an alarm is triggered, an alert is sent to the monitoring station using an internet connection. The monitoring station will then receive images from all the CCTV cameras in and around the building, to determine exactly what is going on. They can then take appropriate action – calling the police and keyholders or letting off smoke emitters to impede a theft in progress.

IP Cameras

IP cameras are revolutionising CCTV in terms of both capability and cost. They send back images via an internet connection, so they can be used as input for a digital multiplexer or for remote viewing on a PC. The internet connection can be made by a dedicated cable, a telephone cable or a wireless installation. The latter option is ideal for large or complex sites where no cabling exists and it would be difficult to lay new cables.
