Door entry systems are built up from Entry panels, Receivers, Video Distributors, Control Units and Locks; these are the same electronic locks featured in the Access Control page. Entry panelsPanels are available to suit everything from a prestige apartment block to a vandal-prone council estate - and in a wide range of finishes to suit the overall design. They can also be recessed or surface mounted where it is important to leave the existing structure untouched. Dual height panels are available for compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act. Swan neck panels are available for vehicle access. ReceiversAgain, you can choose from a wide range of colours and designs from simple wall mounted or deck phones through to recessed wall panels. Wall panels can be used solely for the entrance system or incorporate controls for lighting, climate and entertainment etc. Video DistributorsThese distribute the video signal to selected monitors. Video boosters may also be used to enhance the strength and quality of the signal. Control UnitThis is the interface between the entry panel and door release to the various other controls. Some models feature preset on board timers, which enable you to control the door release time, conversation time and call unanswered time. Cabling and ConnectionsDoor entry systems can employ wireless, optical, CAT5 or any other cabling and are generally installed at the early stages of construction of the building. At WLS, we are used to working closely with construction companies to ensure this is carried out as smoothly as possible. Power suppliersThese are linked to the mains; they provide power for the lock releases and regulate the output voltage to the rest of the entry system. |
