Rising Bollards

These are steel posts which can be lowered when passage is authorised by any type of access control device - or at any time in case of an emergency. When in the lowered position, the top is flush with the ground and completely hidden.

Rising Kerbs

For more secure applications, a rising kerb may be installed. This is a steel, hydraulically activated, wedge shaped blocker that can fill the width of the road. Its sheer bulk will prevent the most determined ram raid attack.

Control devices often include transmitters or key fob readers for regular users and intercoms for visitors. Safety devices usually comprise either underground induction loops or photobeams across the passageway.
