Magnetic Reed Switch

These switches are used on doors, windows, roller shutters etc. They activate the alarm when the contact is opened or closed.

Flush Contact

These fit flush within the frame of a door and some types of window. As the magnet side moves away from the switch side, the switch opens to activate the alarm.

Surface Contact

These are normally fitted to doors and windows that are not able to take a flush type contact. They function in the same way.

Roller Shutter Contact

This heavy duty type of contact would normally be used on roller shutter or garage doors. They are also triggered when the magnet side moves away from the switch side.

Personal alarms or ‘panic buttons’

These are carried by staff who may find themselves under threat. They can be hard wired to the control panel, clipped to a belt, attached to a key ring or worn as a pendant or bracelet. Many are also water resistant.
