Communal systems or “IRS” (Integrated Reception Systems) provide multipoint distribution of TV, Radio and Satellite TV to multi-dwelling properties, containing from two to 200 rooms or residences.

In the case of flats and multi-occupancy buildings, a communal satellite system may be used. This is very different to the system installed in a single domestic property.

A communal satellite system requires a dish with a specialised complex LNB attached. The LNB is quad cabled to a communal distribution switching unit which will then serve all the flats in the block. All the services are received on ONE cable (TWO for Sky+) in each property on a Tri-Plate outlet (or Quad outlet for Sky+). Each home is then Digital Ready, providing the home owner with a choice of services.

On completion, we can arrange individual receiver requirements and subscriptions, directly with residents.
